Kat Hassan (born 1985, Muswell Hill) is an artist based in south-east London. She works at Artichoke Print Workshop in Brixton, supporting the printing of editions and leading workshops alongside her own printmaking practice. A graduate of Central Saint Martins (BA Fashion Print) and Camberwell College of Arts (MA Illustration), her work is process-driven, exploring experimental image-making with drawing and collage as foundational elements. Her instinctive approach engages with joie de vivre, beauty, and nostalgia, rooted in the energy of everyday life, where playful mark-making meets thoughtful reflection.

She often returns to floral imagery as a site of longing, fantasy, and resistance. Inspired by early memories of domestic motifs and suburban landscapes, flowers become a way of reaching for romantic ideals while simultaneously questioning them. Working instinctively, she embraces imperfection, rejecting polished or idealised forms. The flowers she depicts are tender but unresolved — holding space for beauty without demanding perfection. In this way, her work claims flowers not as decoration, but as a quiet assertion of desire, joy, and persistence.
